The AIM for SEVA Kids Youth Committee was created to get youth more involved in this organization and to allow them the experience of giving back.
Living in Canada, we are given many more opportunities and privileges, that blind us from the realities of children in different parts of the world. With the attitude of gratitude, It is important for youth to give back to their home country and their country of heritage. As the new generation, we are the future of AIM for SEVA and are given the responsibility to help underprivileged children in India.
Aaru Chandra and Sahil Mehta are the Co-Leads for this year’s AIM for SEVA Kid’s Youth Committee. With an objective to help children in India, and in their community the Youth Committee organizes various fundraising initiatives and has established a high school presence.

The Backpack Project
The Backpack project is the kid’s youth committee’s first initiative to give back to the children in India and to make a difference in their lives, which is a School Supplies drive. The committee is raising funds to buy school supplies and backpacks that will be made into bundles and sent to India. We are doing this by collecting generous donations from our community.
In 2019, 250 backpacks assembled and shipped to students in India.
