Vimmy Ojha left her beloved family and friends on January 31, 2022 at the age of 92. She was a journalist and teacher in India, moving to Canada in 1967 with her husband Paul and children, Bela, Bindu and Jugnu. She continued her career in Halifax teaching Psychometrics at university and later English and History to high school students. Vimmy published two English grammar books and was an award-winning writer of short stories and poetry.
She impacted many lives with her academic teachings, her strong spiritual and ethical values and the grace and dignity with which she raised her children single-handedly after her husband’s premature passing.
AIM for SEVA was dear to Vimmy’s heart and she eagerly awaited the annual gala. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to this well-loved cause.
