Some $2.6 million in pledges were made for the education of children in remote areas of India at the 15th Aim For Seva Canada annual gala on Sunday. (AIM for SEVA has Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.). Two hostels worth more than $200,000 were also donated at the event.
Over the past 15 years, the AIM Gala has become a glittering fixture in the GTA’s social and charity calendar. This year’s event attracted a record of more than 900 people, inside the cavernous ballroom of the Pearson Convention Centre.
