Educating a girl is transformative. It’s a powerful idea, as it not only transforms a family and thus a nation, but because it’s a symbol of awakening!

The Balika Vidyalaya School and Student Home in Khategaon are dedicated to educating young girls. The hostel and the school together offer AIM’s well-rounded education, bringing about a long-lasting transformation. The students’ hostel in Khategaon is sponsored by the Lakhani’s: Mr. Madhu Lakhani (Mike) and Mrs. Ila Lakhani. They are now working on creating an endowment fund to meet the ongoing expenses of the hostel, and your support is much appreciated.

Donations to the endowment fund are already pouring in. The couple’s son, Raj Lakhani tied the knot to his bride Reecha, in October 2011. They (Raj and Reecha) requested that gifts, if any, should be in the form of donations to their favourite charity – the AIM for Seva Girls School in Khategaon.  Madhu and Ila matched the donation dollar-to-dollar to see their dream of a sustainable model of education come true.
