Light rain and overcast skies didn’t dampen the spirits of the enthusiastic participants out for the AIM for SEVA Walkathon and Picnic on May 1. Held in collaboration with the Mississauga Marathon, fundraisers of all ages checked in at Hiawatha Park where they received their souvenir t-shirts then lined up at the starting gate to begin their 2k walk or run. The All India Movement (AIM) for SEVA fundraisers made donations and raised pledges in support of the organization’s goal to make education accessible to every child born to parents living below the poverty line in remote areas of India. After the marathon, AIM for SEVA supporters met at Jack Darling Park for a picnic lunch.
