Shankar Mahadevan’s AIM for Seva Concert
Shankar Mahadevan Live in an unique multigenre concert in six cities in the USA, between May 05 – May 21 2017. Also featuring Siddharth Mahadevan & Shivam Mahadevan along with a 20 member orchestra. He shares his thoughts on his upcoming US Tour which will raise funds for AIM for Seva’s Free Student Hostels in India.
Our Budding Writer: V. Manikandan from Uchimedu, AIM for Seva Free Student Hostel For Boys in the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu has a passion towards writing. Upon encouragement, he participated in the Tamil essay competition held in school and won the certificate of appreciation in the senior category.
Speak Out: Saijorung Molshoy and Monica P, both 1st year B.A.English students living in Smt.Sukanya Shankar Memorial AIM for Seva Free Student Hostel for Girls in Thippanampettai, Tamil Nadu made a presentation on ‘Study of English in College – A Student’s Perspective’. The girls did a lot of research and presented their viewpoints coherently.
Extension Project Completed: The extension project of AIM for Seva Dayananda Vidya Bharati Free Student Hostel for Boys in Kalabhavi, Karnataka was successfully completed last week. The newly built first floor, was inaugurated by the Shri. Pundalik Nandyannawar (village President) Shri. Hunshal (Secretary of the local school) and our land donor Shri. Sandeep Deshpande. Now, we will be able to support more students through this hostel. Deewan Housing Finance Limited has come forward to support the Student Sponsorship (2017 – 2018) in this hostel.
Building Solar Powered hostels: All of AIM for Seva’s Free Student Hostels in Karnataka and 17 hostels in Tamil Nadu are solar powered. Effective use of sunlight ensures our children have the access to the lights and fans at all times. Thank you Menda Foundation, Selco and Anthem Bio-sciences
