Children Excited with their New Library and Science Labs

Aim for Seva Free Student Hostel for Boys, Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu recently had their annual day celebrations. And the joy simply doubled when Rotary Club of Chenna Patna came forward to provide a library and science laboratories for the school. The Rotarians along with their family inaugurated the labs and also participated in the opening ceremony of our school annual day program.

I would like to give back to the kids in the home

I consider myself lucky to have been associated with a home such as this one, where all the facilities required for education were available. I am forever indebted to the home. Whatever I have learnt, understood and read, is through the student home, and I would like to give back to the kids in the home – be it through education or otherwise.

The vision of the founder appeals to me

The vision of the founder of AIM for SEVA, Swami Dayananda Saraswati, appeals to me. The organization has done “yeoman service all over India.” This is not just donating money. It is to ensure that what we give, reaches the most deserving and needy in India. Education surely elevates an individual to do good and support others in need. In this respect I have seen so very closely how AIM for SEVA volunteers in Canada are doing selfless work. I applaud them for that.

After sending my son to AIM for SEVA, I could see great results in one month. When he came home for the holidays, we learnt that he has come first in his class! I wanted a better life than mine for my son. And it is coming true with the help of AIM for SEVA.

As parents to three daughters, we have seen first-hand the importance and impact of giving children a good education. Our daughters were fortunate to have been educated in Canada. They had abundant opportunities to learn and grow, so that they could later make a significant impact on their community and country. It is our sincere belief that every child has a right to that same opportunity. Education is the great equalizer, able to improve quality of life around the world. This is why we are proud to support AIM for SEVA, in the hopes that one day, no child goes without an education.

100 percent goes to Charity

The “100 percent goes to charity” model was very appealing. We have been involved with this charity and several others for a number of years. Hearing from them (friends who were previous donors), we knew we have finally found a charity we can trust and support. The cause itself is very important to us. Educating needy children is the best form of charity and goes a long way in making this world a better place.

Special Initiatives in AIM Hostels

Participating in the Times Group’s Educational Technology Summit Eight boys from AIM for SEVA Free Student Hostel in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh participated in the ‘educational Technology Summit Series’ organized by The Times of India Group in collaboration with Greenbery World School . The 2-day program where several schools participated , was designed to bring out creativity and encourage innovative thinking in children.
